by the lake

Today I took out some old digital paintings and fix them in photoshop. It's amazing what a simple brush can do.
I use warmer color to give this piece a cozy feeling. You know, it should be very relaxing by the lake. I added in the big ass tower and a chinese temple in the background to create foreground, mid, and background. I'm happy with the way it turned out except some trees in the far right corner.

    I should really start focusing on detailing my environment paintings: I tend to seek out for comfortable organic structures instead of actual buildings.

    yea man i know wut u mean...somehow i always feel drawing environment is not as fun as drawing characters(mainly becus organic shapes are more free)...the hard part is to get the perspective right.
